It means a great deal to us to know that people enjoy what we are putting out there, it make doing this even more worth it.

On Tues we started the process of recording, the whole process went very well, and we could not be happier with the outcome. The whole process was done over a span of 2 days, in a dark, hot, and swampy warehouse/artspace venue in downtown Phoenix. We loaded all of our gear in the night before and showed up bright and early on the 12th ready to record, setting up full-stacks and drums, as well as all of the mics, and recording gear. At the helm of the engineering was John Mckay of Suitcase Recordings.. We love working with John, he is very focused, super professional, fun to hang with and an all around awesome guy, Some of us are even more comfortable from working with him in the past for other projects..

After setting up we started tracking, all of the tracking was done live with some overdubbing.. Everything went along pretty smoothly, the intense heat and damp, humid, AND dark conditions gave us the right environment to feel really creative and really get into the tone of our music and the way we wanted it to sound.. as cliche as it sounds it really makes as difference..along with the high ceilings and concrete floors of the space.. it felt almost other worldly recording there.. with the lights off and just a few beams of light peaking through the curtains.. it defiantly got us in the right mindset to record, rather than recording in a cold. boring studio.

As day two began we finished most of the overdubbing needed, and then eventually moved onto vocals, after numerous trips to the pizza place around the corner, and the dive bar next door, and what seemed like a couple hundred pitchers of beer.. we wrapped tracking up. We couldn't be more happy with the results.. and are really looking forward to sharing it with everyone. We are in the process of setting up some sessions for mixing and then we should have some sort of a sample to share with you soon.

 Till then, we have numerous shows lined up, and more info on fall Cali dates coming, as well as some info on merch and other stuff so keep checking back... and as always you can find more updates to feed you inner social networking beast at our facebook. We are a little less than 2 weeks away from starting the recording process, we are all very excited and are looking forward to getting these songs out and available for everyone to hear. In August as we have already mentioned we will be sharing the stage with YOB and DARK CASTLE, so make sure you are in attendance... this should be a great show with some great bands. As for the rest of the year We will have the pleasure of joining BEFORE THE EYEWALL, (ex-kenoma) on the road for a couple of their California dates in Los Angeles and some of the surrounding areas. There will also be some other amazing bands playing these shows as well, as more info comes in we will be sure to let everyone know, right now the tentative dates are Sept 30th - Oct 5th. other than that there are some other things in the working for the end of the year but right now it is time for us to focus on the task at hand of recording and such, so just keep your checking back, Also just wanted to say a few words about a recent loss some of us have experienced, As you may or may not know, about a week or so ago we have sadly lost one of our close friends. Cory Matthew Bouk, he was one of  Hellas Mounds vocalists for a long while and can be heard on the split HM did with MN band Empires, He was an amazing person and we are deeply saddened by his passing and our hearts go out to the family and other friends during this time of mourning. If anyone is interested in donating to help the family please get in contact with us and we can point you in the right direction. in addition there is also a benefit show set up that you can fine more information about HERE as for now, be safe, and make sure to hold your loved ones close to you. A lot has been going on with us over the past few month. First, as you may seen on our facebook we have the pleasure of sharing the stage with YOB, and DARK CASTLE, in August. We all have been fans of both of these bands for such a long time so We are honored, and very humbled to play with them. So between now and then, We will be getting into record some material in June/July as of now we are not sure how many many songs nor, what they will be used for but as soon as we have something to show for the efforts you will hear it, trust us when we say we are excited for everyone to hear what we are working on.

In addition to recording, and a few shows booked locally we will be laying low and working on new material, We do have some dates that are being booked in the start of the this fall for Los Angeles and some of the surrounding areas. While it is a bit early to start dropping show details, We can say that some of the shows are turning out to be some awesome ones, As soon as we have more solid details on this we will be sure to let everyone know. More news to come in the following weeks...

Lots to talk about, two new shows have been added the first w/ FIGHT AMP in April at the Rogue East in Scottsdale, Az. with also w/ Via Vengeance and Tintype. The second is in May w/ Wolveserpent, A Story of Rats, John Mannion, and GOG. at Sound Kontrol in Phoenix, for more information on any of these shows please feel free to email us at ritualsmusic@hotmail.com

 We will be going in soon to demo some songs which we will be recording very soon for a release, details are still being worked out, but we are hoping to go in and have some demo tracks to share with everyone very soon, we are currently just crafting and getting these ready to record. We would first like to thank everyone that came out to our first group of shows this past week, we appreciate all of the kind words and comments everyone had. We especially would like to thank our new friends in Whitehorse for being such kind individuals as well, if you haven't done so yet please check them out, and support them by going HERE. Monday's show with Braveyoung also went very well and we also want to wish them and Whitehorse the best of luck on their way to SXSW. There a couple of more shows that are in the works that we should have some more information on very soon, so keep checking back.

This being the first post on here, we would like to start off and thank everyone already  for all of the support, We have been super busy putting the finishing touches on some of our songs for our upcoming first live performances the first being on March 11th at Yucca Tap w/ Whitehorse from Australia, this show is 21+ and FREE, and is going to be an amazing show... Our second show will be with Braveyoung, at Conspire art collective on 3/14/11 in downtown Phoenix and is all ages. There will be more updates to follow soon, in regards to recording and other shows, as well as other news, so be sure to keep checking back for more updates...
